If your car has been repossessed or if you are concerned that it will be due to missed car payments, a Chapter 13 payment plan can stop repossession and/or get your car back if it has already been taken by the repo guy.  In order to effectively save your car you must act quickly by filing a Chapter 13 bankruptcy prior to public auction of your car by the creditor.  Once the auction takes place it is too late to save the car.
